1) Garden of the Sleeping Giant

Founded in 1977 by Raymond Burr, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant is the largest repository of orchids in the entire country. While it is famous for its wide collection of orchids, the Garden also plays home to colorful gardens, lily ponds and lush jungles. With its complimentary fruit drinks, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of tireless touring.

2) Sigatoka River Safari

Take a tour amongst the virginal jungles of Fiji by catching a half-day boat ride to the Sigatoka River Safari. For this trip, you can revel in the picturesque views of the island as experienced tour guides brief you about the history and culture of the settlements. You will be ushered to the length of the Sigatoka River where you can communicate with Fijian townsfolks.

3) Kula Eco Park

Fiji, the diverse country that it is, is teeming with unique flora and fauna. You even have the chance to feed the turtles in the park.

4) Bouma National Heritage Park

Enjoy Fijian views in a whole new light by taking a trip to the beautiful Bouma National Heritage Park. Here, you can marvel at the beauty of three waterfalls. Note: you have to hike to get to them, though. The tiring travails aside, the heritage park is the perfect place to revel in the 360-degree view of Fiji.

5) Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pool

Despite the stench that comes with the mud pool, Sabeto never fails to attract locals and tourists all over the globe. Located near the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, Sabeto features three mud pools where you can wade the day away just like Shrek. If you are ready to get dirty, then a dip in the Sabeto mud pool is something you should try out.

Along with your quest for adventure definitely comes the craving for good food. Stop by these Fijian restaurants for a true gastronomic pleasure.

1) Nadina Authentic Fijian Restaurant

For the longest time, Fiji lacked a decent Fijian restaurant, until Nadina came along. Opened in 2007 by Amy Suvan, this quaint bistro boasts of dishes with flavors that are larger than life. Indulge your taste buds with the best of Fiji gastronome by sampling its Kokoda (raw marinated fish) or Kovu Walu (steamed Spanish mackerel.)

2) Chefs the Restaurant

This topnotch restaurant, headed by culinary master Eugene Gomes, is the best place in Fiji when it comes to international cuisine. The menu always changes, so you do not have to worry about the same old food that will bore you to tears. Must-try specialties include rack of lamb and grilled beef tenderloin.

3) Indigo

If you are craving for fine Indian food, then the Indigo restaurant should be at the top of your list. Headed by Chef Eugene Gomes of the “Chefs the Restaurant” fame, it is here where you can feast on delectable Mangrove Crab Marsala and Goan Pork Curry. Vegetarians will love Indigo too, with their eight delicious vegan dishes.

4) IVI Restaurant

Named after a century-old Ivi tree, the IVI Restaurant boasts of Pacific contemporary cuisines that will blow your mind away. Its’ fantastic flavors aside, dining at IVI Restaurant is both fulfilling and relaxing, with its superb ambiance and pleasant decors.

5) Bullacino

If you are looking for bagels, deli, and anything else in between, look no further because Bullacino has got everything you need and more. Once you get a table in this café, make sure to get your hands on its vegetarian ratatouille and salad of mesclun greens.
