RATING: 6/10

VERDICT:

The Panasonic RP-BTD10 is a departure from the booming bass-athon most Bluetooth headphones have been scampering to offer. However, it has its own fair share of sculpting in the high-mids that may not suit all listeners. The detachable cable makes these headphones more versatile, but it's hard to list a specific standout trait, or a particularly lousy one. Such makes the Panasonic RP-BTD10 a solid, but just-above-average headphone pair.

  • Effective noise cancellation feature

CONS:

  • Side area sometimes cracks easily
  • Bluetooth pairing is simple yet awkward (involves holding the power button in for some time)

RATING: 8/10

VERDICT:

Just like the others, these headphones are not without quirks. For instance, they are packed in a sturdy carrying case, but the company’s logo sticker looks like it’s about to come off, which is something that feels quite out of place for an otherwise premium-feeling product. If that is one of your bases for its overall durability, it might throw you off. However, they're a great value, which you would least expect from an unfamiliar brand.

CONS:

  • Plastic material (durability is a bit questionable)
  • Audio sounds drastically differ when switching between Bluetooth to noise-cancelling mode and vice versa

RATING: 8/10

VERDICT:

The noise cancellation circuitry for the i9 BT does a fairly good job of eliminating ambient room noise (the manufacturer claims they can do so up to 85%), but like many headphones sporting the same feature, it also infuses a noticeable amount of high frequency hiss to the equation. It's not an unpleasant sound, but for its price point, there should be no excuses for inconsistencies. This product attempts to get ahead of the pack with its Bluetooth/wired connectivity and decent noise-cancelling efficiency, but its audio performance has shown to be undeniably lopsided.
